Exterior Alteration Application
Select "Form" from the menu on the left to download and print a copy of the Longwood Knolls Exterior Alteration Application. This is the form you must have signed by two neighbors and approved by a member of the Architectural Control Committee before starting work on a project that will alter the appearance of your home.
Submitting Exterior Alteration Applications
After you have filled out your form and obtained the signatures of two neighbors, how do you get the form to the Architectural Control Committee for approval? You can always mail it to the Association (LKHA, P.O. Box 171, Burke, VA 22009-0171) along with any required plans, drawings, color samples, and brochures. However, mailed forms sometimes take two or three weeks to get to the ACC. Instead of mailing your form, we highly recommend that you call any member of the ACC (their names and numbers are listed on Page 2 of the Captain's Chronicle every month) to discuss your project. The ACC member will let you know whether he/she will have to visit your home to visualize the proposed alterations, and will schedule a mutually convenient time for this visit. If the project simply requires the ACC member to read and sign your form, you can hand-deliver the form directly to the ACC member and immediately obtain approval for your project.
